Thursday April 18th: Curriculum Considerations in a 1:1 Environment
The introduction of laptops or tablets into the classroom can represent a fundamental change in how teachers teach and students learn. But without a corresponding change in curriculum, a 1:1 may not fulfill its potential to make students more active participants in their education. This session begins the discussion around pedagogical changes that impact curriculum in an environment where technology is a key component of the classroom.

The presentation format this Thursday will consist of two panel discussions, each sharing the type of curriculum considerations they need to make to ensure their program is successful and how these curriculum decisions have impacted teaching and learning in the classroom. This will be a Q&A style panel and we look forward to audience participation!  Register herehttp://engageteachers.adobeconnect.com/considering_curriculum/event/event_info.html
We are proud to announce that the following education leaders from around the country will be joining our discussion as panelists:
  • Becky Fisher, Director of Educational Technology, Professional Development, and Media Services, Albemarle Public Schools, VA
  • Linda Laughlin, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, RSU18, ME
  • Marianthe (Anthy) Williams, Director of Technology, River Dell School District, NJ
  • Mikkel Storaassli, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Leyden High School District 212, IL
  • Tom Woodward, Assistant Director of Instructional Technology, Henrico Public Schools, VA
After you register, you will receive a reminder for your calendar as well as a link for the Adobe Connect virtual room (expect this Thursday morning, the morning of the webinar). Feel free to pass this along this registration information to your staff and professional learning network. Thank you for joining us and see you online!

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
