Leadership Preparation for Today's Schools
Interested in becoming a school
building leader?
Please join us for a panel discussion that illuminates the challenges associated with today's K-12 setting. We will hear from a group of current successful leaders in schools from LI and NYC who were prepared within the Summer Principals Academy (SPA) at Teachers College, Columbia University, a groundbreaking program that focuses on self-awareness, social justice, and equity. Participants who join us will gain insight into what nuanced preparation is required for today's leaders.
Teachers College, Columbia University has a proven design for success and is ranked #2 in Best Education Administration and Supervision programs according to U.S. News & World Report. SPA has been in existence for the past 15 years, which has led to the preparation of over a thousand leaders. Our rich, adaptive cohort learning environment allows you to earn your M.A. or Ed.M. in Education Leadership and your School Building Leader Certification over two consecutive five-week summer sessions and an intervening school year, while continuing to work in your current position.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
