Teacher Evaluation – Four Day Series
For New Teacher Evaluators

Day 1 – Tuesday, March 1, 2016 - Elements #1 and #2 covered
Day 2 – Thursday, March 10, 2016 - Elements #3, #5, #6 and #8 covered
Day 3 – Monday, March 14, 2016 - Elements #2, # 4 and #9 (NYSUT and Danielson)
Day 4 – Wednesday, March 23, 2016 - Elements #2 and 4
This workshop series will review Teacher Effectiveness research. Participants will be introduced to evidence based observation aligned with the New York State Teaching Standards. The Growth Model and Value Added Model will be reviewed and discussed as well as the application to Student Learning Objectives and teacher evaluation. SED APPR requirements will be reviewed and participants will review the NYSUT and Danielson State-approved rubrics as well as explore inter-rater reliability by collecting evidence and aligning it with a rubric.
