Study: Many youths with concussions play again on same day

Researchers found that 38% of youth athletes with concussions returned to play on the same day, despite guidelines and laws discouraging this practice among youths with signs of concussion after a head injury. The findings, presented at the American Academy of Pediatrics' annual meeting, were based on 2014 data at a Texas pediatric sports clinic involving 185 athletes ages 7 to 18.
