Dear Principals and Teachers,  

Our Kids In Action (OKIA) is pleased to invite your middle school students to our 12th Annual Youth Conference,Stand Up and Speak Out Against Bullying.

Kids in Action (www.ourkidsinaction.org) is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization, that partners with the business community, elected officials, civic leaders and educators to reinforce and promote character education, health and wellness, and leadership skills for Long Island middle school students. Our goal as an organization is to encourage the students to make positive contributions within their community as well as sound choices in life.

At this year's conference we are continuing to address the very important topic of Anti-Bullying. Our guest speaker, Keith Davis, former NFL Giant, will be speaking to the students about the importance of accepting people's differences and will provide them with ideas and tools for how they can be courageous and stand up and speak out against bullying! 

Once you register for the program, you will be able to participate in the Student Essay Contest where the first place winner will receive a $250 prize for their school's student government as well as have a personal meet and greet with the guest speaker at the end of the event! 

Bullying continues to be an important issue for us to continue to educate our kids about and give them the tools to make good life choices. It will be an exciting morning filled with inspiration and entertainment for your kids!
