School district to introduce to menstrual health classes for all 4th graders

Traditional public and charter schools in the Washington, D.C., district will mandate menstrual health classes for all fourth-graders, starting this fall. The curriculum requirement may be the first of its kind in the US and will cover topics such as menstrual cycles, sanitary product availability, and the stigma that can be associated with menstruation.
