Recent surge seen in shift to electric school buses

Less than 1% of US school buses were electric by the end of 2023, despite the technology being available for a decade, according to data. However, the number of electric buses in use in US districts has tripled in the last two years -- reaching 200,000 students -- and the adoption of the buses increasing in 14 states.
