NGA’s members are the governors of the 50 states, three territories and two commonwealths. The NGA Center for Best Practices Education Division provides information, policy analysis, technical assistance and modest financial support for governors and their staff in the areas of early childhood, K-12, and postsecondary education. The Division is focused on key education policy issues relevant to governors’ efforts to develop and enact policy and support its implementation to significantly improve the quality of public education.
