Nation's report card: Reading, math proficiency drop

Reading scores dropped slightly and math scores saw large declines, according to results from the National Assessment of Educational Progress -- known as the "Nation's Report Card." This was the first time full results have been released since 2019, and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said the scores were "appalling and unacceptable."
