A study presented at Nutrition 2023 suggested that Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay diet, a program originally conceived to prevent cognitive decline in adults, could enhance cognitive function in school-aged children. Findings, based on 85 children ages seven to 11 years who completed a seven-day diet record and flanker task, also showed that those who adhered more closely to the MIND diet exhibited enhanced accuracy in the task.
