In July, 2018 the state of New York passed a law requiring instruction in mental health to all elementary, middle and high school students Two experts in the fields of social and emotional learning and mental health will link the importance of social and emotional learning with the components of the newly mandated and revised health requirements.

This conference will:

·         identify opportunities to enhance mental health awareness to promote a climae and culture of wellness for students, families and school personnel

·         link SEL to the components of the new mental health guidelines

·         explore all aspects of the new mental health guidelines

·         offer ways to map the guidelines into existing curriculum in your schools

 

 

 

Participants: BUILDING TEAMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND including Dignity Act  Coordinators, School Psychologists and Social Workers, Mental Health Providers, School Counselors, Administrators and Classroom Teachers
