I have my Masters and I am watching others get jobs that do not have their Masters degree.  I was advised to get my Masters when I went back to school as I had my undergraduate degree already.  I am a career changer.  What can I do to really help me get a job?  Should I put something in my cover letter saying that I would accept a salary at the Bachelors level?

I would not ask for a salary in your cover page. also you should look into Charter Schools for job opportunities if you can not find anything in Long Island. send your resume to Riverhead Charter School in Riverhead. They are looking to hire already for next year.

I recently sent my resume to the Riverhead Charter School but have not received a response.  Should I send a follow up email.

I would follow up in two weeks. In addition, I would mail the school a hard copy of your resume too. Good Luck! I know how challenging it is to find a position in Long Island! Just keep trying!
