Rethinking Teacher Supervision and Evaluation.
Highly recommended course - check it out!
Are you happy with your current teacher evaluation process? If not, now is the time to consider a system that shifts the conversation to coaching, continuous improvement, and student learning.
Here are details on my online Rocket PD course, which will help you plan an approach that is less bureaucratic, more respectful of teachers, and actually makes a positive difference to teaching and learning.
Participants will get the digital version of the third edition of my book, Rethinking Teacher Supervision and Evaluation.
The course has eight interactive 90-minute sessions, each running from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Eastern:
- September 25 - The moral imperative for moving on from traditional teacher evaluation
- October 16 - Mini-observations: the nuts and bolts
- November 6 - Face-to-face debrief conversations with teachers, followed by very short write-ups
- December 11 - Summing up each teacher's work in an end-of-year rubric
- January 22 - How to make student learning central
- February 12 - Differentiation, unit and lesson planning
- March 12 - Student surveys, difficult conversations
- April 9 - Time management: fitting it all in

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
