Highly Qualified Elementary Teacher Seeking Full-TIme position in NY

To Whom It May Concern:

With the attached resume, I would like to make you aware of my strong desire to become a part of your teaching staff as a reading teacher or elementary classroom teacher. I am a native New Yorker, currently residing and working in Fairfax County, Virginia. I am planning to move back to New York this summer.

I am currently teaching 2nd grade at Woodlawn Elementary School, and recently completed my master’s degree in Reading from Johns Hopkins University. Through learning the many important roles of the reading specialist, I implemented the strategies and methods in my classroom and collaborated with the literacy coaches at my school to best meet the needs of the students. I know I would be a valuable asset to your school because I like to get involved!

I am a highly motivated professional that is always willing to learn and can become a valuable member of your teaching staff. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss my credentials. Also, I have letters of reference available if you would like to see them. I look forward to hearing from you in the future and can be reached at 516-661-0976.

Sincerely,

Andrea Slutsky

Andrea,

I am not sure if you will receive the message I sent so I am writing it here as well.  I am an elementary school principal at the Covert Avenue School in Elmont looking for an AIS teacher.  Based on your resume I believe you would be a viable candidate for the position.  Please apply on OLAS and I will forward your electronic resume to personnel as well.  Let me know if you are interested in an interview.

Thank you,

Andrew Weisman
