We are discussing the possibility of grading all the Math and ELA exams for grades 3-8 during a Superintendent's Conference Day on May 11th. We are curious to see how other districts are planning to administer and grade those exams in a relatively short period of time. Are there any similar proposals?

I can tell you that Babylon is sending out some of our tests for scoring to Educational Vista, Inc. and then keeping three grade levels of ELA and two of Math in-house for scoring. We'll be using subsititutes for the days needed to score. I can't imagine how some districts are going to get all the scoring and administrative tasks (bubble checking, make-ups, etc.) completed in the short time frame. Additionally, AP exams are going during the Math adiminstration--and since we have a 7-12 building we're facing a multitude of issues that we're planning for now.
Thank you for your response. I think we are all struggling with this scenario. We are going to move ahead with our plan to grade all the exams in one day. Our next task will be providing professional development for those professionals that are not grading the exams.
