Dear Colleagues,

The International Alliance for Invitational Education® (IAIE) is a not-for-profit, worldwide organization of educators and allied professionals who are dedicated to creating, sustaining, and enhancing positive environments that cordially summon people to realize their full potential.  As IAIE’s new Executive Director, I personally invite you to join us for this informative workshop.

Invitational Education is NOT a program.  It is a framework that provides organizations with a positive alternative to control-oriented efforts that intentionally or unintentionally defeat, distort, or deny the development of human potential.  It is a way to preserve the motivation of educators and students and insure their success, as we address mounting mandates and demands on our schools.

IAIE provides many wonderful resources to educators that you may learn more about by visiting the website: www.invitationaleducation.net

Join us on April 10th to learn how to:

  • ·      Engage your staff in working together to develop a positive climate based on Invitational Theory and Practice and access Free and Member resources to help you on your journey.

  • ·      Use the online Inviting School Survey to analyze how students, staff, administration and parents view your school.  A complete analysis of results are provided for members for a nominal fee.

  • ·      Become an Inviting School and receive an award for your work in positive school climate at an IAIE World Conference. (Locations: Nashville, TN: Oct. 29 – Nov. 1, 2014 and Long Island, NY:  Oct. 21 – 24, 2015)

  • ·      Apply to present a session to educators from all over the world, highlighting your positive school climate work at an IAIE World Conference.

  • ·      Participate in the IAIE Exchange Program in which you and a group of your students may visit a school in Hong Kong or China, and/or host a visiting school from China to exchange information about your cultures and school climate ideas.

  • ·      Attend the 2014 IAIE World Conference in Nashville, TN, Oct. 29 – Nov. 1, 2014 AND on Long Island at the Islandia Marriott, Islandia, NY, Oct. 21-24, 2015. Educators from all over the world will be attending.

  • ·      Join the Coalition to Promote Positive School Climate:  A new network of major school climate organizations working together to illuminate the benefits, advocate for implementation, and generate strategies for creating positive school climates worldwide. There is no fee to join the Coalition’s efforts.

There is limited seating available for the April 10th workshop.  There is no charge.

Please reserve your place at the workshop by emailing Joan Fretz at joan.fretz@invitationaleducation.net.

Come join this exciting way to meet our school challenges through positive climates!

I look forward to seeing you there!!
