Frank Plumeau School Practitioner of the Year Award - outstanding school psychologists

The New York Association of School Psychologists (NYASP) has honored since 1990 with the Frank Plumeau School Practitioner of the Year Award. Rita Perlin, Theodore Fineberg, Joe DeMeis, Martin Dank, Charlotte Harvey, Julie Davis Lutz, John Kelly, Randi Brown, Diane Marachiulo, Anthony Pantaleno,, Jason Kane, George Ferrigno and Kristi Cleary have been worthy recipients of the award. Your district is invited to nominate an individual as a local representative of outstanding school psychology practice. The recipient of the local recognition will be a practicing school psychologist who spends at least 75% of his or her time in direct services.

An award ceremony will recognize the chapter recipients of the School Practitioner of the Year Award at the NYASP conference and at a chapter meeting. The state-wide recipient of the Frank Plumeau School Practitioner of the Year Award will be selected from amongst the local recipients and will be announced at the annual conference. Our state winner’s name will then be sent up to our national affiliate, The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) to be considered for their School Psychologist of the Year Award.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
