Fishman Prize nominations and applications –

Up to five teachers will be chosen for this $25,000 prize presented by TNTP for outstanding classroom performance in high-poverty communities. Winners also take part in a six-week summer residency in which they meet education leaders and publish a collection of essays on successful teaching strategies. The early deadline for applicants is December 3, 2013 and the final deadline is January 21, 2014. Finalists receive a $1,000 award and national recognition.
