Hello!  My name is Donna Samuelsen.  I am a certified Spanish teacher (7-12) and have been teaching for four years.  I am currently in the Elwood School District but, unfortunately, my position will most likely be cut for next year (this year I am down to a .2 position) and thus I am seeking employment in one of Long Island's school districts. 

I have taught introduction to Spanish, Spanish 1, Spanish 1 (9th grade), and Spanish 2.  I will most likely be certified in Italian by September of 2012, and also will be applying for FLES certification. 

I am very enthusiastic, well-trained in the lastest technological trends in education, and love to work collaboratively with others to exchange innovative ideas.  I have worked with very diverse populations and am experienced in working with special education, tiering, and differentiation of instruction.  I am also a seasoned "Reflective Practitioner" and overall a very hard worker, putting most of my energy into developing lessons and activities for my students.
