A Network Connecting School Leaders From Around The Globe
I am a School Counselor with 16 years experience (tenured twice), who was recently excessed. (I left my position in 2002 to raise my children and returned in 2009 - only to be excessed three times in three years!).
I have worked as a high school counselor in a large suburban school district, with caseloads between 275 and 350. I have also served as the Lead Counselor for two years and as a counselor exclusively serving a high school special education population for the last year. I am proficient with Naviance, Infinite Campus, IEP Direct and have served as SSD Coordinator. Additionally, I have taught counseling on the graduate level for 13 years (6.5 years full-time from 2002-2009), training and supervising numerous school counseling interns.
I am passionate about being a school counselor (hence, my return to the field!) ... and the invaluable contributions school counselors make. I am seeking a position in which I can invest my energies and build a future.
Please contact me at 631-790-6575.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
