Cyberbullying tied to depression in youths, study says
Researchers evaluated 36 studies on cyberbullying through social media that involved U.S. middle- and high-school students, ages 12 to 18, and found that on average, about 23% experienced cyberbullying, with relationships cited as the most common reason. The findings in JAMA Pediatrics suggested a link between cyberbullying and depression, but researchers said they don't know whether the association lasts into early adulthood or later in life. Reuters
