An anecdotal, amusing, yet extremely informative guide for anyone involved in education, especially the elementary school principal. 101 real-life stories, experienced by the author, that shaped his thinking about how to work with teachers, parents, administrators and children. This is not a textbook. It is a different way to look at everyday challenges faced by the principal. This book also addresses the problems that the education system currently faces with suggestions on how to “fix” them.

About the Author
Jerry Schiffman is a seasoned professional and has been a part of the education system for his entire life--as a student, a teacher, a principal and an administrator. He wrote this book to share his learning experiences with those who follow him. Lessons Learned Along the Way

From a reader

Finally humanity has re-entered our schools. All school administrators should read this book, that is if you want to really understand problem solving, and what's important. The "stories" are real, and the lessons to be learned by educators and parents are invaluable. You don't have to be an educator to enjoy this book. I found it to be entertaining, well written, at times humorous, at times touching, but always interesting. I wish my elementary school principal had been Mr.Schiffman.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
