A fourth-grade teacher at a Delaware elementary school has organized a real-life civics lesson by helping students advocate for legislation to stop people from smoking in cars when there is someone under age 18 in the vehicle. Teacher Leanna Vitti says students conducted their own research and wrote their own remarks to present to lawmakers.
