With the enactment of the $13 billionBipartisan Safer Communities Act, schools will have an influx of available federal funds to put toward expanding mental health supports and improving learning conditions and school safety.
President Joe Biden, who has urgedfinancial support for student mental health, signed the bill into law Saturday. The first overhaul in gun legislation in nearly 30 years, the law also targets school safety with these provisions:
