MESTRACT is hosting Sarah Maine, Elementary Science Teacher, from Mattituck-Cutchogue School District
Class is Five Sessions Starting on April 14th, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM

Location: Longwood High School, Middle Island

K-6 teachers will be introduced to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards), and how they can be
implemented in the elementary classroom. Teachers will also learn how the use of STEM and NGSS aides in meeting the CCLS. The workshop will consist of fun and engaging lessons and activities that can be implemented in a variety of
classroom settings. On the final day of the workshop, participants will share a STEM lesson that they have created.
