Free 11th Annual Our Kids in Action Youth Conference and Anti-Bullying Rally!
For Middle School Students Where & When Farmingdale State College 2350 Broadhollow Rd. Farmingdale, NY 11735 December 2, 2011 8:30AM-11:30AM This year's esteemed keynote speaker, Jamie Isaacs, is 15 years old and a victim of intense bullying. Jamie considers herself a strong survivor due to the fact that the bullying started when she was in the 2nd grade, at age 8, and lasted through 7th grade, when she was 13 years old. The only reason the bullying stopped was because she was formally withdrawn from the school in which it occurred. Jamie's story is unlike any other bullying story that you have heard about or read. She decided to put her ordeal into words and comprise a book that would tell the powerful story of what she went through. Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
