You are cordially invited to The NYSAFLT Colloquium, a forum in which LOTE colleagues share perspectives, exchange ideas, and develop responses to issues of importance to the LOTE education community. At the 2011 Colloquium, participants will focus on the timely and important topic of "Best Practices in Assessment."

We are very excited to announce this year's keynote speaker, Andre Winston Lewis. Mr. Lewis is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for International and Foreign Language Education under Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan.

 

On Saturday morning we will hear from several leaders in our field during our panel discussion, as we discuss best practices in assessment from various perspectives.

 

Because continued professional growth is important for the success of all teachers, please join us on April 29 and 30 for the 2011 NYSAFLT Colloquium. We value your input!

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
