For the first time in 8 years, the NYS OUTDOOR EDUCATION ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE will be on Long Island. Theme: Outdoor Education has always been 'Green"...and an effective way to teach STEM. From Thursday, October 18-Sunday October 21, formal and informal educators from around the state will gather at Brookhaven National Lab for dozens of indoor and outdoor workshops and field trips. Keynote speakers: Jaimie Cloud (Cloud Institute for Sustainability Education), Patti Wood (Grassroots Environmental), and Carl Safina (Blue Ocean Institute). Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs.
