The New York State Association for Bilingual Education (NYSABE) provides the most comprehensive professional development program for the education of Bilingual Learners (English Language Learners). We are proud to announce our 35st Annual Conference, Achieving a Lifetime of Bilingualism from Early Childhood to Higher Education, that will take place at the Long Island Huntington Hilton, Melville, NY, March 8-10, 2012. NYSABE represents more than 312,000 students and their families plus a constituency of over 1,500 members from the great State of New York. These members represent all stakeholders, such as educators, parents, paraprofessionals, administrators, members of Institutions of Higher Education, advocates, researchers, and policy makers.
As a tradition of a long-lasting partnership with NYSED, the LI R-BERN (formerly BETAC) will be hosting the Long Island Teachers’ Institute on March 8th, 2012.

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
