The Post Observation Conference
The observation process is the foundation of professional development. Yet, too often the post observation conference does not reflect a teaching/learning atmosphere that promotes teacher self-reflection. Dr. Scricca will share ways to make this conference an effective instructional leadership tool.
After 38 years in public education, Dr. Scricca is on faculty at Mercy College’s Educational Leadership Program. She has received numerous awards for her work in closing the achievement gap including a National High School Principal Award and St. John’s Leadership in Education Award. She is co-author of Supportive Supervision; Becoming a Teacher of Teachers, as well as several other publications that focus on instructional leadership.

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences.
