The Nassau County High School Principals’ Association and the Suffolk County High School Principals’ Association are pleased to offer a major conference for Long Island high school principals on the challenging and major issues facing them in today’s complex world. Held in association with the Center for Secondary School Administrators and Supervisors at Hofstra University, this one day conference is intended to provide high school principals with collaborative conversation and additional tools to deal with the challenges of running effective and dynamic 21st century schools.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
The keynote speaker will be Kevin Casey, Executive Director at SAANYS. Mr. Casey oversees all association services and operations, which include legal and labor relations services, professional development opportunities, and legislative advocacy. This opening presentation will focus on the new Section 3012-c APPR regulations and their meaning for high school principals— both as evaluators of teachers and as professionals who will be evaluated.

We will begin discussion of a possible collaboratively endorsed New York State Scholar Diploma.
