Event Description

I’d like to invite all principals and their schools to an unprecedented event on Holocaust Rescuers that will occur at our Center on Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 pm.

new%20RESCUER%20EVENT%20OCT%2016.pdf

This event highlights character educationmulticulturalism, interfaith issues, Upstanders, and the strength and importance of community.

The Jewish population in Albania increased during the Holocaust by 900% due to the Albanian code of honor practiced by Muslims, Catholics, and Christian Orthodox.

No other country experienced this phenomenon, and it is even more remarkable when compared to its neighbor, Greece, where over 98% of Jews were murdered.

Speakers include:

  • ·        the Albanian Ambassador to the UN
  • ·        a former 14-year old Albanian Rescuer
  • ·        the daughter of rescued Albanian Jews
  • ·        the son of Albanians who rescued 26 Jews

Please see the attached flyer for details, and distribute to anyone who may be interested in attending.

This event complements our special exhibit from Yad Vashem on Albanian Muslim Rescuers.

Private tours for students and curriculum guidance for educators are available.

Respectfully,

Beth

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource

Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and

other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching

practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
