Gordon Taylor is one of the founding investigators of the international CARIACO oceanographic time series program that has been continuously collecting data on ocean conditions and carbon cycling off the north coast of Venezuela since 1995. Data from the last 15 years have divulged significant changes in temperature and productivity, and levels of carbon dioxide, acidity and oxygen.
