According to the IMF, published in a recent global study, AI is about to significantly transform the global economy, impacting around 40% of jobs worldwide.

The report goes on to see how advanced economies might experience greater AI-induced changes, with nearly 60% of all jobs in these economies affected.

While it has the potential to boost productivity and growth, AI also poses risks of job replacement and widening inequalities—especially between developed and emerging economies, as the latter may lack the infrastructure and skills to fully capitalize on AI.
