As of today, Sunday 6/14, there are a limited number of seats available. Online registration will remain open at www.civicspdny.org until all seats are filled or Monday, 6/22 (whichever occurs first). In addition to Karen Korematsu we have secured Professor John Q. Barrett to discuss the Korematsu case. Teachers are sure to gain great inspiration from learning about Fred Korematsu's story and the legacy of this historic Supreme Court decision.
Building capacity for student voice is an essential mission for our schools. We must empower our students as active, informed and engaged citizens who are ready to participate in our vibrant democracy. As we work to fill these last few seats please consider joining us and share this opportunity with friends and colleagues who would benefit from this professional development.
Note we also have 1 day institutes this year in Syracuse 7/8, Albany 7/9 and White Plains 7/10. E-mail me at david.scott@stonybrook.edu for details or see www.civicspdny.org for more information and registration.

Mentors.net - a Professional Development Resource
Mentors.net was founded in 1995 as a professional development resource for school administrators leading new teacher induction programs. It soon evolved into a destination where both new and student teachers could reflect on their teaching experiences. Now, nearly thirty years later, Mentors.net has taken on a new direction—serving as a platform for beginning teachers, preservice educators, and
other professionals to share their insights and experiences from the early years of teaching, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. We invite you to contribute by sharing your experiences in the form of a journal article, story, reflection, or timely tips, especially on how you incorporate AI into your teaching
practice. Submissions may range from a 500-word personal reflection to a 2,000-word article with formal citations.
