Eastern Suffolk BOCES has a new principal institute each year for AP's and Principals.  Took it last year - great support system and provided a wealth of information too.

Hi all.  I joined this group 11 days too late as I just completed my first year as principal in an elementary school.  I wanted to respond to Dominic's question.  Definitely need to know literacy, data, now APPR, RTI, and probably parent/teacher conflict.  If you didn't do so already, sign up for Michael Keany's interview prep class.  After a year of searching, I took the workshop and landed the next job I interviewed for.  Good luck!

I became a principal during this year for an elementary charter school.  Working in isolation has been difficult.  I would like to know if anyone has thought of creating a new principal institute or web page that allows new principals to get support and bounce ideas off of each other?

Hi everybody, i'm currently working on my internship in administration.  I'm in the process of creating a resume and will most likely send them out in the near future.  My main concern is interview questions.  What types of questions do they ask on an administrative interview?

A great idea!  Principals have worked in isolation for too long...
