Please respond to the latest School Leadership 2.0 survey

California is pioneering a legislative effort aimed at enhancing teacher retention by proposing paid disability leave for pregnant educators. The law would provide school employees with up to 14 weeks of fully paid disability leave. Presently educators do not receive paid pregnancy disability leave and are forced to rely on other forms of leave post-birth or to manage their pregnancies, despite being entitled to four months of unpaid leave.  Do you approve of this legislation?

More and more schools are doing away with lockers.  The transition away from lockers has been facilitated by the digitization of educational resources, which allows students to carry all necessary materials in their backpacks, thus diminishing the need for personal storage space at school.  Schools are replacing locker rows with collaborative spaces equipped with modern furniture designed for both socializing and academic work.  Would you consider removing lockers in your school/district?

Coats, lunch bags, library books, extra supplies--kids need storage.

Students need to store their personal items in a safe place. Theft is also something to be concerned with.

Yes, consider making space by moving some lockers with mindfulness of certain student's special needs that may require a locked area.
