This is one of the problems with the New APPR System. It requires principles to do a lot more observations of all teachers rather than focusing in on challenging areas. Schools are flat organizations with Principles supervising a number of staff you would never see in industry. Add to that pressures brought on by the recession and the cap are resulting in buildings with fewer AP's and fewer central office middle management staff like Directors who were available to provide support and…

And all of this happening along side major changes in the Standards. I am not questioning the value of these things, but timing matters.
