<p>What a thoughtful reflection on organizational change! The research demonstrates time and time again that kids want teachers who care about them as individuals. Zero tolerance programs do not permit us the flexibility that is required in order appropriately educate students either academically or morally. What kind of example do we as leaders set when we publically demonstrate our intolerance of those who fail to live up to our expectaions. Students can easily identify the disconnect…</p>

Students can easily identify the disconnect between our words and our actions. I'd like to think that good principals and teachers have always practiced DASA. I hope that this new initiative does not become the next zero tolerance progra.</p>
