Comments on 7/11/21 Poll - Making Juneteenth a National Holiday

The US Congress passed, and the President signed legislation, establishing June 19 as Juneteenth National Independence Day, a US holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.  Do you agree that Juneteenth should have been declared a national holiday?

It should be the stepping-off point to better instruction about slavery, the Civil War and how unequal opportunities have been a result of these thing.

Yes, we need to be reminded of our history with its accomplishments and injustices.

Pandering to Woke mob does not work.

Juneteenth is a start. However, Reparations are what is necessary. Native Americans received reparations, even the Jews received reparations, and what happened to them didn't occur in this country. Certainly, African Americans deserve reparations!
