Comments on 1/16/22 Poll - Types of Masks being Worn

If you had to estimate, what percentage of students in your school/district are wearing high quality (KN95 or N95) face masks?

0% to 20%

21% to 40%

41% to 60%

61% to 80%

81% to 100%

I don’t believe parents understand the importance of a high quality mask such as a KN95 or N95. As far as they are concerned a mask is a mask is a mask. So anything goes. Need to educate parents.

The North Carolina Educators Association said ESSER funds (COVID Relief package) are available for districts to get masks for employees, but that hasn't happened in my district. I've seen no kid in an N95.

100% masked…but few KN95

Most of the children are wearing disposable layered paper masks. Very few are wearing KN95.

Nobody has these masks

Masked students and some teachers wear cloth or thin paper masks. The school has stated that N95 have not been recommended for schools. Although many of us would like for school to provide these masks to teachers at least we are still awaiting.
