Comments from October 11, 2020 Poll - School Ventilation Quality

New research has pointed to the importance of proper school building ventilation (recommendations of total air replacement of 6 to 9 times per hour) to prevent COVID infection.  As we move into the colder weather in many areas of the country, how would you rate the ventilation in your school?

We have Hepa and we keep windows open even if the air conditioner is on. Anonymous
Revamping our building's ventilation system was one of the first steps taken before we returned to in-person learning in August. Anonymous

Our building is the newest in the Alamanec Burlington School District, Burlington NC and it is 50 years old. Anonymous
Old building, HVAC is not great, heat on the second floor is unbearable hot, very few windows, no windows in classrooms open, only 1 window at the end of the hallway opens to get fresh air. Has been like this for years. Need to wear summer clothes in winter to teach. Anonymous
My school building is new. It was just completed in Fall 2019. Anonymous
