As long as it is not a packaged program that school's are required to buy. | jnichols@vpaonline.org |
Too much goes unreported because of victim fear and lack of understanding of what is appropriate behavior by an adult. | Anonymous |
This is long overdue. | Anonymous |
Some issues should not become a matter for which school personnel is held accountable. Parents, community groups, churches, etc. could be provided information to share with children and young adults which would make them aware of sexual abuse issues. | Anonymous |
NO. Keep sex ed out of all schools. | Anonymous |
The state does a lousy job of determining "age-appropriate" in every area related to education, this seems like an area they will cause more harm than good. All states should take a step back and let teachers decide what is age appropriate and then work on implementation with district administrators. | Anonymous |
While I don't disagree that when students know how to protect themselves, abuse can be prevented and for sure mitigated, I believe these kinds of decisions should be left to smaller 'government' entities...such as School Districts to decide if this kind of education is needed. We don't need any more legislation from the Federal Government in public education...we are already trapped trying to deliver on unfunded mandates. | Anonymous |
Need clarification of the stated proposal: how, who, cost, reliability, how to document improvement, what gets replaced for the needed time, and so on. | Anonymous |
Patents need to start doing something, anything, to begin parenting again. The schools simply should not take over every single thing. Come'n parents, do your join, any job at all!!!! | Anonymous |
