First-time teachers, given a choice, pick a good salary. They don't appreciate good administrators or mentoring until much later because they believe they know everything. They don't think about benefits until they have their own families. Color me cynical. |

A well-deserved reputation. Money is important, but loving your job is more so. I'd rather work in a supportive district with positive morale and support for both teachers and students. Having worked at the other end, it was AWFUL. |
