Comments from 10/10/21 Poll - Special grading during pandemic

Did your school/district modify the normal grading system (for example offering P/F grades only) during the pandemic?

Extended Pass/Fail option and deadline

In my school, the grading encouraged students to exert less effort in their work now that we are face to face again. I'm suggesting the next questions - are there long-lasting effects to the late middle school and high school underclassmen (7-10th graders). Will they regroup academically or continue their slide?

We modified the benchmarks needed to meet a grade on the rubric. We based it on data and student growth.

The grades were only modified to P/F for the 3rd Trimester of 2020. Last school year 20-21 we followed our regular grading policies.

Anonymous and there were no midterms or finals. This was absolutely in no way beneficial to anyone. We are paying the price this year.

Basement grade of 55, first quarter forgiveness= matching Q1 & Q2 with whatever was higher
