I am a career-long special educator, I have worked as a teacher, staff developer, mentor, assistant principal and director of special education on LI and in NYC. My work has focused on supporting schools with youth development; college readiness and success, effective advisories, SEL,school wide behavior systems and supports, and middle and high school instructional design and delivery. Currently I am working with NYCDOE schools to advance the Special Education Reform; developing meaningful IEP's, creating flexible programing and supporting all teacher's in developing curriculum using UDL principles; reducing the number of referrals to special education.
