I am an elementary educator with 10 years experience teaching internationally in Central America. I have also spent 5 years contributing to school improvement as a teacher leader. I have taught 4th and 5th grades, moving to 2nd grade this coming school year (2020-21). I am currently at Colegio Maya in Guatemala City with an American curriculum based on the AERO/Common Core standards anchored by a balanced literacy program, numeracy program and inquiry-based learning. My teaching philosophy and approach are focused on growth mindset, self-directed, and social emotional learning.
