Career Summary:
As an educator and master trainer with more than twenty five year’s experience, I have consistently demonstrated success in the evaluation, implementation and supervision of existing, as well as experimental instructional programs. My personal strength lies in the creation, organization and facilitation of professional development in instruction, using research-based best practices which are current, and specifically adapted to meet the needs of culturely diverse students.

Deputy Network Leader of Evaluations, Curriculum & Instruction
• Coach Principal’s and assist in gathering evidence for their Principal Performance Review.
• Quality Review Coach for Principals and schools.

Middle School Principal – Mott Hall Community School:
• The Mott Hall Community School is a 300 student facility which is a Mathematics, Science & Technology School. It has been designated by New York State as the model school for the State Education Department’s current Concept School for Inclusion Education.
• The Mott Hall Community School is a model outbound school where student learn best by doing. Weekly field trip is incorporated with the CCLS curriculum throughout the school year.
K-12 Director of Mathematics/Quality Review Coach
• Provide a collaborative support structure for school administrators in order to facilitate prompt communications among staff.
• Evaluate instructional programs, curriculum documents, and effective teaching strategies in Common Core State Standards and New York City curriculum guides.
• Analyze a wide variety of data to draw conclusions and make recommendations, interpret policy, procedures, and practices,
• Work closely with the CFN 608 team to identify the goals of our schools and then facilitate the implementation of steps necessary to achieve those goals.
• Develop and implement professional development in mathematics to administrators and teaching staff.
• Quality Reviewer (High School) and Coach K-12: review and analyize school’s performance statistics to ensure that the school is engaged in effective methods of accelerating student learning. The Quality Review is focused on the coherence of schools’ systems, measuring how well it is organized to meet the needs of its students and adults, as well as monitor and improve its instructional and assessment practices.
• Review school leaders self–evaluations based on the Quality Review rubric. It develops a well-rounded perspective of the way in which schools use informaion about outcomes to guide teaching, set goals for improvement, and make adjustments (e.g. to the curriculum, use of resources).
• Visit classrooms, speak with school leaders, and use a rubric to evaluate how well the school is organized to educate students.

K-12 Knowledge Management Team Leader for Mathematics, Science and Technology
• Functions as a member of the chief executive officer's learning support cabinet.
• Responsible for the development implementation and evaluation of instructional policy and programs as well as community engagement initiatives and the direct support of local schools.
• Directs the work of specialist teams in each area of responsibility while concurrently supporting principals in the monitoring and revision of math science and technology instructional plans based upon school-wide student data.

Elementary Principal – Sycamore School
• The Sycamore school is a 530 student facility which has been designated by New York State as the model school for the State Education Department’s current Concept School for Inclusion Education.
• The Sycamore school is the Pilot School for the Connetquot School District’s balanced literacy program.

Hempstead Public Schools 1985 – 2001
K-12 District Math Coordinator
• Responsible for the interpretation an implementation of all of the New York State and National Math Standards.
• Responsible for grant writing to fund both ongoing and experimental programs in the area of mathematics education.
• Developed, implement and supervised a K-8 curriculum management system which focused on establishing mathematical congruence among nine elementary buildings.
• Established accountability standards for students, teachers and building principals.

Building Principal / Assistant Principal.
• Responsible for the planning, implementation and supervision of all instructional programs.
• Evaluated teachers, facilities workers and paraprofessional staff members.
• Managed school budgets, operation of the physical plant and building security.
• Placed a strong emphasis on a successful educational program which supported academic excellence and accountability as necessary components in the educational process.

K-12 Director of Pupil Personnel Services
• Responsible for coordination of clinical and special education services for a 5,200-student school district with reporting responsibilities directly to the superintendent of schools.
• Supervised a 42 member support staff and responsible for compliance with all state and federal guidelines.
• Oversaw the operation of the gifted and talented program for the district.
• Served as a Section 504 Compliance Officer.

• Responsible for the administration and coordination of all operations for a 400-student summer camp.
• Supervised and managed the American Red Cross Water Safety Program for Life Guard Certification.

6-College Founded, organized and operated Miss Jen’s Tutoring Service
• Provided independent and contractual home based instruction to homebound and hospitalized students enrolled in local school districts.
• This service provided private instructional services to students as well as consultation and advocacy services for their families.
