Survey: Teachers alter lessons amid political pressure

Amid ongoing political pressures, over a third of social studies teachers have modified or eliminated certain lessons in response to concerns about their school or community climate. The iCivics survey found that 35% of teachers reported changing or omitting lessons, particularly in states where legislative action has attempted to restrict classroom discussions.
