During the COVID19 pandemic, students have lost structure and gained time and flexibility. Schedules, expectations, and the duration of the school day have changed drastically. For a multitude of reasons, many students have struggled to engage in and complete assignments during homeschooling.
Educators will learn to support the transition back to schools and foster positive thinking and a growth mindset that is supported by praising effort rather than ability.
  • Explore the various differences between learning at home and learning in school.
  • Understand the relationship between the way students think and their performance
  • Teach proactive thinking strategies.
  • Identify keywords that encourage a fixed mindset and learn positive replacement words to foster growth mindsets.
  • Increase positive thinking as it relates to academic, behavior and social-emotional skills.
  • Create opportunities for students to take action on positive thoughts and throw away self-defeating thoughts.
  • Engage in discussions and evaluate actual classroom footage as students practice and internalize these skills and meet with success.
  • Create a passion for learning not a passion for approval.
There will be time for questions and answers.
PLEASE NOTE - The district MUST approve your registration on MyLearningPlan no later than 48 hours prior to the workshop. YOU MUST HAVE DISTRICT APPROVAL.
